Meet Our Therapists
Sidrah Khan, LCSW
CEO/ Head Clinician
My style of therapy does not consist of "fixing," but rather creating a safe space in a non-judgmental environment for you to explore whatever is holding you back from living your fullest life. While I am trained in many different modalities, I individualize each experience to fit your specific needs.
I help treat those dealing with anxiety, depression, disordered eating & body image issues, life transitions, career questions, relationship/partner challenges, self-esteem improvement, and individuals searching to improve their general sense of self-awareness. I have experience working with adults of every age and welcome any and all identities, including those from the BIPOC, Queer and non-binary communities. As someone with complex medical issues, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I welcome those who may be struggling with mental health symptoms related to physical illness.
My job is to help you identify what's happening in your body & mind in order to create new pathways to improve your overall wellness. I specialize. in trauma, specifically sexual trauma and intergenerational trauma. My passion for healing trauma is what fuels my strong dedication and deep appreciation for this career.
I practice from a holistic perspective and believe that our mental, emotional, physical, & spiritual health are all interconnected, and each system must be honored. I also utilize psychodynamic theories, mindfulness, & trauma-focused approaches, and place a strong emphasis on building therapeutic trust.
I strive to be the most compassionate human I can be, both inside the therapy room and out. I am always looking to connect with other therapists and am available for public speaking engagements as well as supervision/coaching.

Adam Whitlatch, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Although people seek therapy for a variety of reasons, we all strive to create a sense of self-worth, develop healthy relationships, achieve our goals, and lead a fulfilling life. My aim is to develop a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship, impart practical tools to work through current problems, and work together to explore and heal the underlying causes of those problems.
My approach is largely relational and informed by psychodynamic and attachment theories, but I include other therapeutic modalities as needed, including influences from trauma-based, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, self-compassion, and body-focused (somatic) approaches. I also deeply believe in the importance of viewing ourselves within the context of the systems around us, from family and friends to community to society. I have experience working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, spiritual issues, and grief and loss. And because every person is unique, I believe in creating a new therapy with every client I see.
Seeking therapy can be a frustrating and difficult process and it’s important to find the right therapist for you. I encourage you to reach out so we can determine if we are a good fit, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Cindy Sordo Waring, LMFT
Psychotherapist
I became a therapist because I understand that everyone needs and deserves a safe and trusting space to process the human experience, be it the challenges and transitions, concerns and worries, relationships with self and others, or ever-changing emotions and thoughts that can make navigating life difficult, confusing, or overwhelming. I believe that each individual experience is unique, while also understanding that no one should feel alone or that what they feel or need is wrong, abnormal, or cannot be validated. I work with my clients to help them feel empowered and capable of making decisions to live a most fulfilling life, as well as able to handle stressors and meeting their needs.
I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds and am well-versed in providing treatment for folx who are neurodiverse or within the BIPOC, gender diverse, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I provide services for people dealing with anxiety, depression, AD/HD, personality disorders, substance abuse/dependence, eating disorders and body image issues, attachment and adjustment disorders, relationship challenges, emotional disturbance and/or trauma, and behavioral challenges. I have additional training in sex therapy and provide treatment for couples and those in polyamorous relationships.
I practice from a psychodynamic, client-centered, and holistic approach with an unbiased perspective. My treatment modalities have included solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, ecopsychology, and existential psychotherapy. I strive to build honest, lasting relationships with my clients so that together we can consider and process the multiple factors that contribute to one’s mental health and life choices, as well as uncover the underlying fears that can impact our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I further highlight the mind and body connection, exploring the relationship between our physical and emotional or mental selves and how they work together, as well as what role and impact our spirituality (however it is expressed or manifested) plays within our conceptualization of life.
I am currently licensed in California and reside in Los Angeles. For any and all inquiries, please email me at cindysordotherapy@gmail.com.
Keary Johns, ASW
Psychotherapist
My goal is to give you the tools you need for mental wellness and assist you in achieving your goals. Creating a safe space in our therapy sessions is very important to me as well as providing a solution-focused environment with psychodynamic qualities.
As an African American male, I am constantly using culturally-sensitive therapeutic exercises to assist clients in dealing with racial stressors. Giving you the tools to navigate life so you can be the best version of yourself is something we can work on together. I plan to learn from you as much as you learn from me. Our therapy process will be mutually beneficial.
Overall, I am someone who wants to help just like someone helped me.
I hope to see you in session.
If you are a resident of California and think we might be a good fit, please email me at kearyjohnsjr@gmail.com.

Psychotherapist
Whether you are new to therapy or returning, finding someone who we feel understands and cares for us is hard. Each person has their own story and all of us have different reasons for seeking out help. I believe therapy is a safe place to share our stories, learn who we are, and develop effective skills to improve our lives.
In therapy, I emphasize creating a nonjudgemental, empathetic, welcoming, and safe environment. I believe that patience and trust are essential for healing, and through the therapeutic relationship clients can explore their inner selves. I utilize various theories, such as trauma-based and attachment theories, to inform a personalized therapeutic approach for each client. I have experience with CBT, DBT, and somatic and body-focused practices, and have worked with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, and relationship struggles. As a doctorate student, I am investigating how macro influences impact our mental health and practice with a social justice, feminist orientation. This lens enables us to unpack how both our individual lives and larger systems can influence our daily lives and contribute to experiences of oppression, trauma, and challenges with mental health, particularly among marginalized individuals.
I am currently accepting new clients and would appreciate the opportunity to get to know you better. Finding a therapist that is right for you can be challenging, and I understand that it can take time. If you are a resident of New York and interested and think we can work together, please reach out to me at nataliegreen@khancounseling.co for a free consultation.

Psychotherapist
I strongly believe that therapy can allow a person to increase their self-awareness and allow them to look at things from a different perspective. My goal is to be able to assist people in filling that gap of uncertainty. I have worked with a variety of people from different backgrounds, ages, ethnicity, race, gender, etc. I have made it my goal to dedicate my time to get to know you and ensure that your needs are being met whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, a mood disorder, trauma, substance use issues, adjusting to a new chapter in your life, and relationship issues.
My approach in therapy is to build a connection with you to be able to uncover a deeper sense of awareness, challenge core beliefs from childhood, and motivate you to work towards healing. I challenge my clients to create goals that will have a meaningful and positive impact in their lives. Although therapy can sometimes be short lived, I want to be able to provide you with the tools necessary that will allow you to manage your symptoms and aim to increase a more joyful life.
As a bilingual, Latinx male, my skillset and experience allows me to to take a broader view and identify how external factors can play a role in impacting our mood and behaviors. That is why I invite you to a welcoming, non-judgmental space where I can assist you in breaking down those barriers that may be preventing you from being your best self.
